The FLOWER DRIPPER OVAL (101/102) is the latest addition to the CAFEC FLOWER DRIPPER series! This new dripper skillfully combines the flower shape, which embodies CAFEC's brewing concept, with the trapezoidal dripper, further enhancing the FLOWER series. Its flower-shaped ribs allow the coffee grounds to expand fully, and the unique trapezoidal structure makes it easier to retain water, thereby extracting the full flavor of the coffee beans. Furthermore, the rib design at the bottom of the dripper, along with the varying number of bottom holes depending on the dripper size, effectively prevents over-extraction at the bottom. In addition, the dripper is made from environmentally friendly Tritan material, further enhancing safety. Enjoy rich and mellow coffee with your own exclusive brewing method.

CAFEC has always developed its dripper series with the combination of flower-shaped ribs and a conical shape as its core, considering it the ideal form for embodying CAFEC's brewing theory. However, we also recognized the high demand for trapezoidal drippers, a traditional type that has remained popular both domestically and internationally in Japan. Flower-shaped ribs × trapezoidal? We dared to try this unknown combination, but in order to bring a new experience to coffee lovers and out of pride for our own brand (which has developed many innovative drippers that break traditional frameworks), we decided to develop the "FLOWER DRIPPER OVAL." During development, we meticulously adjusted the height of the ribs at the bottom of the dripper in tiny increments, imperceptible to the naked eye, to maximize the characteristics of the flower-shaped ribs and achieve smooth coffee extraction. We also sought the optimal angle that would allow the dripper to fit snugly against the filter paper while creating a deep filter bed for the coffee grounds. After numerous prototypes, the "FLOWER DRIPPER OVAL" was finally completed. With the addition of the "FLOWER DRIPPER OVAL," the FLOWER series is now complete. The FLOWER series surpasses previous conventions, compatible with all brewing methods, allowing you to fully enjoy the pleasure of pour-over coffee.

What are the advantages of the flower shape?
A major feature of the FLOWER DRIPPER is its flower-shaped ribs. These ribs are formed by grooves in the dripper, ensuring an air layer between the dripper and the filter paper, allowing fresh coffee grounds to expand freely. Additionally, linear ribs extending from the flower-shaped ribs to the bottom of the dripper act like channels leading to the bottom hole, enabling smoother coffee extraction.

Key Point 1: Two types of ribs support smooth extraction
The flower ribs allow the coffee grounds to expand fully, allowing water to penetrate all parts of the coffee grounds, thereby extracting the coffee liquid. The linear ribs at the bottom create a path for the coffee liquid to flow to the bottom holes.

Key Point 2: Bottom hole controls brewing speed
1. The dripper comes in two sizes: 101 (for 1-2 cups) and 102 (for 2-4 cups). The number of filter holes at the bottom of the dripper is adjusted according to the size to achieve an appropriate brewing speed. The 101 uses less coffee powder and has only one filter hole, causing the coffee to drip more slowly. The 102 uses more coffee powder and has two filter holes, allowing the coffee to drip relatively faster, avoiding the extraction of unpleasant flavors. 2. The raised ribs on the back of the bottom hole ensure a clear path for coffee flow. These ribs help the coffee flow smoothly and prevent over-extraction at the bottom.

Key Point 3: Suitable for CAFEC filter paper
As the name "FLOWER DRIPPER OVAL" suggests, this dripper appears slightly oval when viewed from above. This is achieved by minimizing the dripper angle as much as possible without affecting the fit with CAFEC filter paper, thus ensuring a deep filter bed is formed even with a trapezoidal design.
